Our film is an Adaptation of film Classic “12 Angry Men” by Director Sidney Lumet & Playwright/Screenwriter Reginald Rose. Our Director/Writer created this updated version that’s extremely relevant now. We shot a few blocks away from where the original film was shot in the BRONX!
"1 Angry Black Man” Daphne Danielle plays Carla, an African American Literature Professor at a Liberal Arts College in New England. Carla leads the class with in-depth conversation about great African American writers, James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston, Ta-Nehisi Coates and August Wilson. There is debate, heated discussion and reflections based on the pressure cooker of current events in politics, free speech, race, woman and the Hillary/Trump USA elections of 2016 among her students. Her student Mike Anderson from Chicago, is African American and feels a sense of isolation on campus. It’s a different world, Carla sees it and works to support him. Is Mike 1 Angry Black Man?
